Splatoon 2 Is Selling 7 Times Faster Than The Original Splatoon

August 24, 2017 by Jordan Coetsee

Nintendo’s sequel outpaces the original, 7 to 1.

It seems Nintendo definitely made a move in the right direction by releasing a sequel to Splatoon. According to the collection of data on sales by Game Data Library, The paint blasting installment Splatoon 2 has sold over one million copies in Japan alone, accounting for one in every three Switch games sold in the country.

What’s even more impressive is that in the first month of launch, Splatoon 2 sold the same amount of copies than the original did in its first 7 months.

In other Nintendo news, Psyonix has recently released a trailer for console exclusive Rocket League cars.

Psyonix has confirmed that the Switch version of Rocket League will be receiving cars themed off iconic characters in Nintendo’s history.

Making the announcement via YouTube, players will be able to select either ‘Mario NSR’, ‘Luigi NSR’ or ‘Samus Gunship’.

Splatoon 2 is out now, exclusively on the Switch. How have you found Splatoon 2 so far? Enjoying it? Let us know in the comments below.
