Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft’s tenth instalment in the Forza franchise, Forza Motorsport 7, is just a few months away. The studio made sure that the game offers players a unique and authentic audio experience.
Turn 10’s Creative Director Bill Giese was recently featured in an interview with September’s Official Xbox Magazine, via WCCFTech, where he discussed the studio’s work on the game’s audio and how it will add to the overall experience. He revealed that Turn 10’s development have overhauled the audio for the car’s driveline flex, so players can “hear the car tearing itself apart”.”
We want players to see, hear and feel the explosive power of motorsport. For all 700 cars the instrumentation clusters are going to rattle, windshield wipers and mirrors vibrate – it’s that feeling of the car at its peak. We’ve overhauled the audio for our driveline flex, so you can hear the car tearing itself apart. It can be scary, but it feels more alive and grounded than before.
Forza Motorsport 7 releases on October 3rd for Xbox One and PC. In the meantime, make sure to check out 60 pre and post-war cars coming to the game, including 1953 Chevrolet Corvette, 1950 Alfa Romeo 158 and many more.
