Guerrilla Games Director Reassures Fans Studio Still Has Passion for Killzone Franchise; “Too Early To Make Announcements”

Guerrilla Games enjoyed a really successful 2017, with the release of their massively successful new IP, Horizon Zero Dawn. But does that mean Guerilla Games forgot about Killzone?

Guerrilla Games’ Managing Director Hermen Hulst was featured in a recent interview, published by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Science, via WCCFTech, where he discussed the importance of Killzone’s franchise to the studio and its passionate fanbase. He reassured fans that they haven’t forgotten about it, but it’s “too early to make announcements on that.”

It’s really heartwarming to hear that there’s such a strong appetite from the loyal Killzone fanbase. It’s a franchise and universe that we still love with a passion at Guerrilla. It hasn’t been easy doing something so completely different. Whether or not we’ve put a permanent period behind the series, it’s too early to make announcements on that. All I can say is that we’ve always loved the Killzone universe and the Killzone series, and we still do. We share that passion for the game with a lot of our fans.

The last series instalment was Killzone Shadow Fall released back in 2013 as a PS4 launch title.
