Augmented Reality App Hidden Secrets Heading to Kickstarter

The success of Niantic’s Pokémon GO proved that augmented reality was essentially the next World of Warcraft. Addictive, immersive, and almost impossible to put down. Hidden Secrets is an up and coming interactive puzzle game that looks set to mimic the formula, but there’s one crucial difference: there’s a total prize pool of $100,000 waiting to be found.  

Hidden Secrets, which is launching a Kickstarter campaign in just over a week, takes place in an age gone by. Secret societies thrived, science was but a nascent field, and a young hero’s choices pulled a mysterious narrative into existence. Years later, the pages of that narrative are scattered and disguised within puzzles that you’ll need to find, then solve, all in real-world locations.

Hidden Secrets comes with the promise of daily puzzles, and encourages players to use pages as clues in seeking out hidden treasures. The first players who locate the exact location of a treasure are rewarded with cash prizes (10 prizes worth $10,000 each). But it’s more than just a bounty hunting extravaganza; Hidden Secrets is a hand-painted discovery game that wants to fuse technology and imaginary worlds with real life, and leave players with the desire to be more inquisitive about their daily surroundings.
