Who is Sly Cooper? New Trailer Asks

December 14, 2012 by Jordan Erica Webber

Learn what other characters think of the “dirty, lying ringtail”

A new trailer for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, revealed on the PlayStation blog, shows off some more of the upcoming game and asks the question “Who is Sly?”. It also, since this is a game that will involve time travel, asks “Where is Sly?” and “When is Sly?”. We hear a couple of quips from other characters about him being “uncatchable, like a baseball made of air” and how he “comes from a long line of master thieves” and has “learned every trick in the book”, but most importantly we get a glimpse of the time machine, teamwork, and costumes that will feature in the game.

The blog also mentions a few key features of the game. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will support Cross Buy, which means those who buy a copy on PS3 will find a download code for a free Vita copy included in the box. If you've got both consoles, it'll be handy to make use of the Cross Save feature, so if you need to head out you can save your game on the PS3 and carry on where you left off on the go.

You can also use your Vita when you're playing the game on PS3, with augmented reality turning the console into a set of X-ray goggles. When you raise these “googles” to point at the television, you'll see hidden treasures highlighted on the screen. If you tap those treasures on the Vita's screen, a pointer will appear on the television, so you can use this to help out a friend.

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is due to launch in February next year. Will you be getting a copy?
