Nintendo’s unique paint-based shooter, Splatoon 2 has just launched it’s latest Splatfest event.
The event which began on August 4th, 9 PM PT in the United States and will start at 3 PM BST on August 5th in the UK will run for 24hrs and is all about food. Pledge your allegiance to either Mayonaise or Ketchup and compete in turf war battles to earn points for your faction.
Once the event ends, players will receive rewards based on their ending rank and receive some Super Sea Snails. These are rare items for adding more slots to one’s gear. Furthermore, a weapon from the first Splatoon, dubbed Sploosh-O-Matca, as well as a new map, have been brought in by the event – unfortunately, the map will only be available during the event, becoming unplayable once the event ends.
Two years have passed since the original Splatoon™ game was released, and two years have also passed in Inkopolis! So expect a fresh wave of fashion, not to mention new weapons and gear. Dual wield the new Splat Dualies or stick to mainstays like chargers and rollers, which have been remixed with new strategic possibilities. As always, Turf War is the favored sport among Inklings, but they also dig ranked battles, taking down Octarians in a robust single-player campaign, and battling enemy Salmonids in one dangerous part-time job! No matter which way you play, splat at home or on-the-go with Nintendo Switch. Staying fresh never felt so good.
