Microsoft Reveals Trio of Sizzling New Xbox One Controllers

August 3, 2017 by Katrina Filippidis

Glam it up with Volcano Shadow, Green/Grey, and Patrol Tech editions.

Good news for Xbox fans who like gaming in style—Microsoft has announced three additional Xbox One controllers sporting sleek new designs and colour schemes. Naturally, the controllers are wireless and are compatible with Xbox One X, which currently boasts an impressive line-up of 80 games. In partnership with Xbox Design Lab, Microsoft is introducing the Volcano Shadow Special Edition, Green/Grey Edition, and Patrol Tech Special Edition controllers so you can treat yourself to some much needed eye-candy.

Players are also receiving a smaller Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10, which is reportedly half the size (66% to be exact) of the original adapter and leaves extra room for connecting multiple USBs. The adapter will be available from August 8 at a recommended retail price of $24.99 USD.

You’ll have to wait a bit longer for the glammed up controllers, which are all launching in September. Pre-orders are available now, with the Volcano Shadow and Patrol Tech Special Editions starting at $69.99 USD and the Green/Grey Edition priced at $64.99 USD.
