Embark on Knightly Adventures With The Cardinal Crusade

August 1, 2017 by Katrina Filippidis

Steel thy sword!

After two-years in development, medieval themed 2D platformer The Cardinal Crusade has hit early access and is ready to impress with its unique hand-drawn action. You control a pint-sized knight in search of the Fountain of Ascension, a legendary artefact that grants godlike powers to whoever drinks from it.

Like Indiana Jones, you’ll be exploring the ruins of lost worlds, unveiling the truth behind the holy fountain, and battling monstrous creatures. There are over 70 levels planned, which include secret exits, alternate pathways, and hidden collectibles and upgrades for the more discerning player. The three-man indie development team of Anton Jonsson, Nathan Auckett and Moggle has been building The Cardinal Crusade as a part-time project, and promise to deliver fast-paced, exciting gameplay that brings out our more valiant qualities.

Interested players can check out The Cardinal Crusade‘s free demo on GameJolt today. The game is also expected to launch via Steam and itch.io in future.
