Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption Gives Off Dark Souls Vibe

August 1, 2017 by Katrina Filippidis

Let the fire purify you.

AAA vets Dark Star Game Studios have announced a grim new IP called Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption, and we think it’s boss-battling RPG action has an uncanny resemblance to Dark Souls.

It tells the tale of Adam, a solider on a journey to save his own soul through battles with ferocious bosses who are named after the seven deadly sins. Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption keeps things interesting by getting players to level down a stat before each bout of combat—the sacrifice required for ultimate atonement. There’ll be a bunch of weapons to unlock, and you’ll need them, because each fight will be tougher than the last.

Developer Relations Director of publisher Another Indie Iain Garner says Adam’s struggle will be as much about physical prowess as the spiritual need for penance, and that the last showdown will be his biggest test of all.

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is scheduled to release in Q1 2018 for PC, Mac, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. No Nintendo Switch version has been mentioned at this stage.
