Black Ops 2 Where to Find Cheaters

December 10, 2012 by Alex Co

Curious where Black Ops 2 cheaters lurk? Read on to find out…

Whenever a new Call of Duty game is released, it's quite a big deal when it comes to multiplayer FPS fans. Unfortunately, this also means that cheaters and hackers come out of the woodwork, too.

For some reason, there are a lot more cheaters when it comes to multiplayer shooters. Is it because they want to up their K/D ratio? Win ratio or just want to reach the highest rank the game offers straight away? I honestly do not know, but there are cheaters and Black Ops 2 is no exception.

In the video below, YouTube user MinnesotaBurns outs one of the havens of cheaters on the internet. While he admits that some people just message him and ask if he wants to play in "modded lobbies," there are a few people who pool in ideas and whatnot to cheat, which we'll get around to in a bit.

If you're not up to watching the entire video, MinnesotaBurns outs TheTechGame as the site in question. For obvious reasons, we won't link to them and their forums. But for those curious, just a quick glance at their forums reveal a ton of Prestige hackers and even those who will help you reach a certain Prestige level for a fee.

Not only that, but there are even threads asking players to join boosted lobbies, weapon camos boosting and more. Of note is that people use "dummy" accounts to carry on with their nefarious deeds. While it might take you a while to sift through everything, fortunately for us, some of them list their Gametags, PSN ID! So, if you see these guys in-game, chances are you're dealing with a cheater/booster.

Now, I'm not generalizing since some of the threads like "How to Create Emblems" are legitimately helpful. But for every one of those, there are 10+ threads on people soliciting customers for Prestige levels.

Frankly, I'm surprised to see so many people bite. Isn't part of the fun in playing shooters the actual progression and whatnot? In Call of Duty games, going for Prestige X is considered part of the meta-game to showcase how good and how much time you have. It seems people nowadays are more content in having that emblem to brag about instead of actually earning it.

Also of note, before perusing that site's forums, please note that I think Treyarch is familiar with the hackers there, so be cautious before trying anything murky. Would you risk getting your account banned or stats wiped just to gain an emblem or camo a few days in advance? I thought so.

Do you know any Black Ops 2 cheaters? How do they cheat and more importantly, why?
