Rayman Jungle Run Update Brings New Levels, Globox

December 5, 2012 by Jordan Erica Webber

Ubisoft provides ten new levels for free

Totally awesome iOS/Android game Rayman Jungle Run has some new content. The update adds a set of ten new levels to the game, which – like each of the other sets of levels – adds new features to the gameplay. In this case, Rayman can punch little plant pots placed about the levels to sprout plants with platforms or jump pads on the end. The game also now shows a punch icon on-screen to make the ability more obvious to players.

All of that is available for free, but Ubisoft has also added some purchasable content to the game in the form of a new playable character: Globox. Players can pay £0.69 ($1.11 at today's exchange rate, though they'll have likely rounded that up in the game) to unlock the ability to play as Globox, as well as two outfits for Rayman.

Rayman Jungle Run is a brilliant game that manages to replicate the feel of a home console game without having to resort to fiddly controls. The only issue with the game is its length, so it's promising that Ubisoft is providing extra levels for free. If you want to try it out, you can pick it up for $2.99 in the App Store or on Google Play.
