2K Games and Hangar 13 officially revealed the third and final story expansion for Mafia III, titled Sign of the Times.
Mafia III: Sign of the Times pits Lincoln against a cultist group called The Ensanglante, who are determined to restore order to New Bordeaux through their rituals and recruit new members to serve their purpose. The expansion doesn’t only add a new story for players to experience, but also exciting new features, including new weapons, such as throwing knives, and slow-motion combat.
In Sign of the Times, Lincoln is pitted against a deranged and violent group of cultists called The Ensanglante, who are hell-bent on restoring righteousness and order to New Bordeaux through violent rituals. The cult uses a hallucinogenic drug to bend its members to their will, distorting their perception of reality and turning them into killers. When Lincoln discovers The Ensanglante has used Sammy’s bar for their rituals and finds a lone survivor among the terrible aftermath of a brutal ceremony, he vows to protect New Bordeaux from this mysterious new threat in a thrilling 1960s-inspired psychological cat-and mouse game that will push Lincoln’s grip on reality to the brink.
Senior Writer Ed Fowler discussed some parts in the DLC where players will have to investigate certain areas to unravel the mystery behind The Ensanglante and their dark purpose.
At key points in this DLC, we have these investigation zones where you’ll methodically look for clues that reveal more of the truth… and it can quickly turn a corner where you’ll be dealing with cult members in tense firefights.
Sign of the Times DLC releases on July 25th, priced at $14.99 for non-season pass owners.
