Japanese accessory maker CYBER Gadget has unveiled a keyboard modified to support Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons. Although gaming peripheral company HORI first announced a Nintendo Switch compact keyboard last month, the CYBER Gadget version will allow players to dock Joy-Cons for better access to in-game controls. The game that catalysed its creation is popular MMO Dragon Quest X (DQX), and since controllers don’t offer the same typing freedom (essential for chat function) of a standard QWERTY keyboard, the hybrid Switch keyboard seems like the way to go.
Like DQX, we aren’t sure whether the Switch Keyboard will eventually make it outside of Japan, where it’s currently being sold. In the mean time, those interested can still snag themselves one via Amazon for around $33 USD.
