During Sony’s E3 2017 press conference, Bethesda revealed Skyrim VR, a title fans of the franchise has been asking for for a long time. The title is coming to PlayStation VR this November, however, it won’t be exclusive to the platform. GameSpot’s recent video discussing Bethesda’s VR titles and plans for future games revealed that Skyrim VR is also set to arrive to HTC Vive. However, it is expected to release some time in 2018, about a year later than its PSVR version.
Here is a brief description of Skyrim VR’s content:
A true, full-length open-world game for VR has arrived from award-winning developers, Bethesda Game Studios. Skyrim VR reimagines the complete epic fantasy masterpiece with an unparalleled sense of scale, depth, and immersion. From battling ancient dragons to exploring rugged mountains and more, Skyrim VR brings to life a complete open world for you to experience any way you choose. The game includes the critically-acclaimed core game and official add-ons – Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn.
Dragons, long lost to the passages of the Elder Scrolls, have returned to Tamriel and the future of the Empire hangs in the balance. As Dragonborn, the prophesied hero born with the power of The Voice, you are the only one who can stand amongst them.
The title is due to release for PlayStation VR in November, but no set release date has been revealed as of the time of writing.
