Gold Nunchuck Available on U.S. Club Nintendo Next Year

November 29, 2012 by Jordan Erica Webber

The Gold Nunchuck will set you back 900 coins, match your Skyward Sword Wii Remote

Good news, Nintendo customers in the U.S., the perpetually sold-out Gold Nunchuck will be available once again on Club Nintendo next year. Nintendo tweeted the – obviously popular, since it's already been retweeted 124 times and favourited 45 times – news yesterday:

The Gold Nunchuk will return to #ClubNintendo after the New Year. Start saving your Coins! http://bit.ly/O7mThC

The Gold Nunchuck is currently listed at a price of 900 coins. If you're not a member of Club Nintendo, all you have to do to earn those coins is sign up for a free account and start registering your games. It's another anti-preowned measure, really, since a secondhand copy isn't guaranteed to include a registration code. You get bonus coins for registering a game within four weeks of its release date, i.e. paying full price rather than waiting for it to come down, and for completing surveys that become available a week after each game has been registered.

The Gold Nunchuck – gold-coloured, not actually made of gold – matches the gold Wii Remote Plus controller that comes with the limited edition version of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, so if you've got one of those and you've got a thing for bling you might want to set yourself a reminder to check up on the site next year.
