Just Dance 4 Tops Amazon’s Black Friday Sales

November 26, 2012 by Alex Co

Ubisoft is a big winner in Amazon’s Black Friday sale as the publisher tops the list for the third year running!

If you're wondering what game topped Amazon's Black Friday sale, you might be surprised to know it's not Battlefield, Call of Duty or any other big-name franchise.

Instead, Ubisoft's Just Dance 4 has managed to be the top moving item for the third year running. Not only that, but its publisher — Ubisoft — has five titles in Amazon's top 20 for the three days of November 23-25.

It's not only Just Dance 4 that shaked its groove for Ubisoft, as even their big fall game Assassin's Creed 3 managed to snag the second spot.

Here's the full list of titles that managed to move the most for Amazon during their Black Friday sale.

  • Just Dance 4 (Wii)

  • Assassin's Creed III (Xbox 360)

  • Halo 4 (Xbox 360)

  • Assassin's Creed III (PS3)

  • Dishonoured (Xbox 360)

  • Madden NFL 13 (Xbox 360)

  • FIFA Soccer 13 (PS3)

  • FIFA Soccer 13 (Xbox 360)

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (Xbox 360)

  • Just Dance 4 (Xbox 360)

  • Madden NFL 13 (PS3)

  • Borderlands 2 (Xbox 360)

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (PS3)

  • Dishonoured (PS3)

  • Gran Turismo 5 (PS3)

  • Dance Central 3 (Xbox 360)

  • Skylanders Giants (Wii)

  • God of War Saga (PS3)

  • Just Dance 3 (Wii)

  • Lego Lord of the Rings (Xbox 360)

Based on the data by Cowen & Company, Ubisoft's Just Dance franchise has managed to be the top seller in Amazon's Black Friday videogame deals for the past three years. Additionally, the most discounted game was Gearbox's Borderlands 2, which sold for an average of $31.66. Other heavily discounted games were Activision's Skylanders Giants for the Wii ($26.33 off), EA's Madden and FIFA 2013 versions which were both discounted at $25 off.

Which games did you buy on Black Friday? Do you even know anyone who bought Just Dance 4? Amazes me still how big the casual gaming crowd is, no?
