With Black Ops 2 already out now for a few days, that doesn't mean Treyarch is resting on their laurels. On the contrary, they're now hard at work on resolving Black Ops 2's PS3 issues, and they're even hard work on creating new game modes for multiplayer.
This was revealed by Black Ops 2 game director David Vonderhaar in a Reddit conversation (via CVG):
Absolutely. Although we haven't released any details, or even decided which ones, nor could I give you a count or time, we have several games modes we play in development.
That certainly is good news for Black Ops 2 fans, no? Of course, would this even matter or will people still play Team Deathmatch all the time?
In other news, Call of Duty Elite, now unrelated to Black Ops 2's map packs and Season Pass, now has an app available for iOS and Android devices. You can use the app to check your stats, view your recent matches, tinker with your clan preferences and even edit your loadouts.
Not only that, though, you can also use the app to stream Call of Duty Elite TV! I can imagine that would be a good way for Call of Duty fans to gather more intel once they're done playing Activision's mammoth-FPS.
The Call of Duty app is available as a free download on iTunes and will require iOS 5.0 and above. Sadly, the app doesn't have dedicated support for iPhone 5's larger screen just yet.
Are you using Call of Duty Elite outside the game? What do you want to see added to it?
Thanks, Joystiq
