Remember the days of Top Spin, well, Bigben Interactive and Breakpoint Studio have finally announced they will developing another tennis game, titled Tennis World Tour.
The last tennis game we got from the studio was Top Spin 4, which released back in 2011 and received mostly positive reviews except for the Wii version. Tennis World Tour is set to feature more than 30 playable characters, including the likes of Roger Federer, Gaël Monfils, Angelique Kerber, Garbiñe Muguruza, Novak Djoković, and lots more that are yet to be announced.
Tennis World Tour Game Designer and former Top Spin 4 Producer Pierre André shared his enthusiasm towards the new title, describing it as “a spiritual successor” to Top Spin 4.
For years we’ve wanted to create a new tennis game, a spiritual successor to “Top Spin 4”. Technical evolutions now mean we can create the ultra-realistic simulation that we’ve been dreaming of.
Director of Video Games at Bigben Benoît Clerc discussed the technological advancements available nowadays compared to the ones used back in 2011.
We are proud to give to all tennis fans a game worthy of their enthusiasm. The level of quality, wealth of content and game mechanics will ensure Tennis World Tour is one of the best sport simulations on the market.
Tennis World Tour is expected to release some time in 2018.
