Housemarque Announces Release Date for Nex Machina; New Local Co-op Feature Detailed

Housemarque has taken to the PlayStation Blog to announce some pretty exciting stuff  for their upcoming twin stick shooter Nex Machina.

First off, we now have the official release date for the game, which is scheduled for June 20, 2017. The game is heading to both the PS4 and PC so if you love good twin stick shooters or enjoy Housemaque intuitive and addictive gameplay style, then keep your eyes peeled for the game next month.

Housemarque then followed up the release date announcement with another announcement featuring a new local co-op mode. That’s right, you can now partner up with someone in the same room and take down enemies faster and more efficient.

Check out the brand new local co-op trailer down below:

This is something that we’ve been trying to keep secret for a long time, but many of our friends have already guessed it was coming.

Local co-op will allow two players to play side by side, just like in the old school arcades, competing or helping each other out. So please enjoy the above new trailer, which includes footage from the Winter Tide level with some two-player action!

Nex Machina, which was revealed at PSX 2016, has caught many gamers interest. Not only because a suburb team is working on the game, but because the game looks totally awesome. If you want to see more gameplay, you can check out 17 glorious minutes of the game running in action right here.
