We already know that a Assasin's Creed movie is on the way with Michael Fassbender in the lead role, but until now there's been nothing about when we can expect the movie.
That was until Ubisoft's chief sales and marketing officer Geoffroy Sardin talked to GI.biz and let it slip that there's a movie being released next year.
"Another thing that is very important for the lifecycle is the transmedia offer. All the figurines, the books, the publishing, and we have a movie in the next coming year. So it's not only about games, we are talking about a global brand, and this is the life cycle management we want to set up," Sardin said.
As VG247 notes, this could mean the next financial year (2013/14), but it could also very well mean next year as in 2013.
Ubisoft hasn't commented on Sardin's statement.
