New Trailer Released for Wii U Version of Mass Effect 3

November 9, 2012 by Jeanine Celestin-Greer

Mass Effect 3: Special Edition gets a trailer

BioWare has released a new trailer for the Wii U version of Mass Effect, properly titled Mass Effect 3: Special Edition. It shows mostly action-packed scenes that fans already know and love, but it does show off some of the gamepad features. We've heard conflicting opinions about how much different an experience this version will be, with the guys who ported it saying it won't be much different, but BioWare acting like it'll be the most fun and different experience for Mass Effect ever.

The video agrees with BioWare, showing some of Mass Effect 3's most dramatic and movie-like scenes, while slides in between praise Mass Effect 3 or discuss how awesome this version will be. The Wii U gamepad is shown at about 30 seconds in with the player showing off the power wheel's capabilities on the gamepad's secondary screen.

As was previously said by BioWare "you can control your squadmates, utilize both Shepard and your squad's abilities, and even play Mass Effect 3 all from the GamePad". The Wii U version will also have a new version of the Genesis comic so people can make their decisions. Mass Effect 3: Special Edition will also come with a lot of bonus content like the From Ashes DLC, the Extended Cut DLC, the Rebellion, Resurgence and Earth multiplayer packs, and a bonus heavy weapon so players won't have to download or buy as much.

Mass Effect 3: Special Edition will release on Wii U launch day on November 18th.
