Sonic to Make Return in 2013

Here's what everyone's been hoping for: Sonic the Hedgehog will return in 2013 with digital and boxed games.

ONM reports that SEGA's European head of brand licensing, Sissel Henno, told Toys 'n' Playthings about the plans.

"Over the next year there will be a big focus on the expansion of [Sonic licensed] toy distribution across Europe. Similarly, we will also be growing the apparel, publishing and stationary categories," Henno said.

"We will have several new digital titles launching as well as a new boxed game, so there will be plenty of opportunities to link martketing campaigns across games and merchandise."
