GTA 5 Screenshots Reveal Rappelling, Three Protagonists, Motorbike Mayhem

November 8, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

New screenshots of Grand Theft Auto V have surfaced.

GTA V

Grand Theft Auto V is easily the most highly anticipated game, surpassing the likes of both Halo 4 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 in terms of its popularity—and possible notoriety, given its penchant for grabbing headlines in the mainstream media.

It goes without saying that Rockstar has made quite a franchise out of the title, which had very humble beginnings unlike Call of Duty and Halo, games which were always triple A titles from their very inception. Grand Theft Auto V will be a continuation of the franchise and an exponentially larger world, offering more content and a bigger environment than Red Dead Redemption, San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto IV combined—this little tidbit according to details in the recent GameInformer article, which we dissected here.

New screenshots from the GameInformer featured article and those intended for several other publications have since surfaced on the internet, all of which we’ll showcase below with some small amount of speculation as to their contents and context within Rockstar’s upcoming game.

Grand Theft Auto V is slated for release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in Spring 2013.
