Visceral's Dead Space 3 has a nice eight-minute preview courtesy of Machinima and in it, we see the game's co-op mechanic once more. While this isn't the first time we see Clarke and Carver working together, there are a few snippets of new footage in the video.
In tow for our latest look at Dead Space 3 is Story Producer Chuck Beaver who not only describes how co-op works. but also goes in detail regarding the game's new cover system, and revamped weapons bench.
Give it a watch now.
Interesting to note here is that it seems Dead Space 3's cover system might not be as detrimental to the game's horror-factor as some people (me!) thought. I mean, seeing as the full game can be played via co-op, adding a cover system might just make the game feel like Dead Space of War or something.
Will Dead Space 3 feel more like a shooter rathern than a horror game? I sincerely hope not. We have enough action games and not enough horror games as it is, no?
Based on what we've seen so far, can Dead Space 3 even be remotely scary with all the additions they've made so far? I'm hoping it is since a certain "evil" game focused more on the action rather than the scares.
Dead Space 3 is scheduled for a February 2013 release on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
