Yesterday was the worldwide reveal for Call of Duty: WWII and honestly as a Call of Duty cynic, I’m pretty psyched for sledgehammer game’s return to roots – especially (as cliche as it sounds) the new zombies. I mean if it’s anything like the terrifyingly cramped spaces of the original World at War maps, then I’m sold.
Now we have more info that Call of Duty: WWII may feature significantly larger multiplayer maps compared to the previous titles, just over double infact.
The image was taken from the Xbox Market Place and seems to indicate so.
Furthermore, from the multiplayer teaser video, the good folks at MP1ST decide to count just how many player tags were in the video to support the marketplace image. The count totals at 47 tags.
A reddit post also highlighted that there will be a game mode called “War” which pits the Axis against the Allies. This mode is said to be objective based with a strong story narration added to it. Sound familiar anyone? That’s probably because you played operation in Battlefield 1, which follows the same formula. Seems like Call of Duty is learning from its mistakes. Let just hope they will add is some more ‘original’ game modes.
