Update: Black Ops 2 Zombie Menu Screenshot Leaked, Hints at ‘Magic’ Usage

October 30, 2012 by Alex Co

Black Ops 2’s menu for zombies can be seen in a screenshot and it mentions

UPDATE: It's been brought to our attention that the menu screenshot originated from the Digital Warfare forums courtesy of user shadow.wizard. Also, that the "magic" option simply refers to the Mystery Box, Power Drops and Perks all rolled into one option. Bummer, I so would have liked to used a Hadouken or something to the undead. Maybe next time, no? (thanks, PsychoticDust).

Original Story:

Undoubtedly, one of Treyarch's major selling points for its version of Call of Duty games is there zombie mode. Based on what we've seen and heard, it might be the most-ambitious take on the mode yet.

While the game's just two weeks away from release, that hasn't stopped people from posting leaked screens from the game. Lucky for us that in this regard, "someone" is Reddit user OMGitsAlia who posted a screenshot from Black Ops 2's zombie menu and it reveals quite a few surprises in the process.

Before we get down to the nitty-gritty of what the screenshot reveals, take a look at it for yourself.

Just a quick look confirms a host of new things Treyarch has implemented in Black Ops 2's zombie mode. It seems now players can start slaying zombies in which round they choose with a new "starting round" option. Additionally, Treyarch is even implementing a difficulty option for it, and even a "Headshot Only" mode, too!

However, all those new revelations pale in comparison to the fact that a new "magic" option that can be enabled or disabled. Yes, you read that right, there's going to be "magic" in Black Ops 2's zombie mode. Heck, I admit, even I did a double-take when I saw it. Could this refer to Perks or can we shoot fireballs and lightning at the undead? Your guess is as good as mine at this point.

Keep in mind though, that there is a chance that this could be fake. But seeing as some people already have the game, there's a very good chance that this is the real deal.

So, are you ready to use magic in Black Ops 2's zombie mode or is Treyarch overcomplicating things? Sound off what you think of the image and let us know.

Black Ops 2 is scheduled for a November 13 release for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, while the Wii U version will be out on November 18.
