The Surge Has Officially Gone Gold

April 14, 2017 by Dennis Patrick

Gamers can pick The Surge up this May.

Deck13’s latest upcoming video game title, The Surge, has officially gone gold. The main development that went into the title is done and now the video game discs are being manufactured along with the title being sent to digital storefronts.

The developers behind The Surge, Deck13, was founded back in 2001 where it brought out titles such as Ankh, Blood Knights, Jack Keane, Venetica, among a list of other titles. The Surge is the latest video game to be released into the market from the developers and it’s described to have a style similar to Dark Souls and Rise of the Robots.

Essentially, players will see a very challenging third-person action role-playing video game set in a futuristic sci-fi setting.

“A catastrophic event has knocked you out during the first day on the job… you wake up equipped with a heavy-grade exoskeleton, in a destroyed section of the complex. Robots gone haywire, insane augmented co-workers and rogue AI – everything wants you dead.

Defy deadly enemies and huge bosses in tight, visceral melee combat. Target and slice specific limbs off your foes, with a next-gen loot system where you loot what you dismember. Equip, upgrade and craft new weapons and armors sliced from enemies, and make yourself stronger through a fresh take on leveling-up.”

With most of the world exhausted of resources, a strain has been put on the social service along with environmental diseases spreading through the open lands. Gamers interested in checking out the title can pick it up on May 16, 2017, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
