Following the tradition of leaving really cool content out of a game so that players have to either spend more money or limit themselves to a single retailer, Ubisoft would like to bring your attention to a character you won't get to meet and some fun you won't get to have if you just opt for the cheapest, most basic copy of Far Cry 3 you can find.
Meet Hurk, who exhibits the detachment from reality you're bound to find in people who've lived in this kind of anti-paradise. After a brief exchange – enthusiastically wacko on Hurk's part and sarcastic on Jason's – you get to see one of the exclusive missions in action, with a stealthy entrance and chaotic exit. Watch closely to spot features like tagging enemies to deal with later, and the fashionable 'death from above'.
Far Cry 3 is due out on November 30th. While American consumers will have to get their copy from GameStop to access the four single-player missions featuring monkey-mad Hurk, here in the UK we can unlock this 'Monkey Business' content by buying the 'Insane Edition' of the game, currently listed on Amazon, GAME, and – of course – Ubisoft's online store.
