Call of Duty WWII May Have Photorealistic 3D Character Models

April 10, 2017 by Jordan Coetsee

According to Activision’s latest job listing

Will Sledgehammer games introduce Photorealistic 3D character models in the next Call of Duty Installment? According to a job listing on Activision’s official website, quite possibly.

The title is called “associate environment artist” and requires someone who “can build and texture awe inspiring environments” and has “a passion for creating game art.” One of the duties and responsibilities for the person applying for the job would be to “create believable, photo-realistic 3D models and textures from concept art and photo reference.”

Another responsibility mentioned is that the applicant is able to “assemble, edit, and optimize highly detailed 3D environments.”

These requirements gives us quite a good idea on what we can expect from the environment’s infrastructure in the next Call of Duty. Let’s hope that it plays out well.
