Catherine’s action elements explained

A Japanese Online retailer has shed some some light on the action elements of Catherine, developed by the folks who were behind Persona 3 and 4 and Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. Siliconera explains,

Catherine’s action part is deep, but has simple controls. Players control Vincent in thrilling scenes as he avoids traps and runs from mysterious monster attacks below. The goal is to survive by getting Vincent to the top. Every evening (game time) players see the nightmare part of Catherine.

We're yet to see some lengthy gameplay footage of the game to form an opinion of our own, but there have been a few mysterious trailers released  for the game which seem promising.
