Darksiders 2 Abyssal Forge DLC Detailed

October 25, 2012 by Alex Co

Vigil has officially lifted the lid on Darksiders 2’s upcoming DLC.

Vigil has officially dropped the hammer — or scythe, rather — on Darksiders 2's second expansion. Titled "Abyssal Forge," the DLC will be released next week for all platforms.

So, just what is this expansion all about? According to Vigil, "The Abyssal Forge is a living machine designed to harness the unfocussed dark power of the Abyss and create the most powerful legendary weapons. The Maker who built this abomination, known only as the Mad Smith, was shunned by his own people and sealed away in the Shadow Lands with his creation. However, the forge hasn’t remained dormant all those years of captivity; it has constructed a vast army and now threatens all creation."

The DLC will add a new gameplay area called the Shadow Lands, which will be an "entirely new visual look," as well as add new dungeons, enemy types and even legendary loot.

The Abyssal Forge will be available on the Xbox LIVE, PSN and PC on Tuesday, October 30 for $9.99 or 800 Microsoft Points.

Anyone interested in having another dance with Death before Halloween?
