XCOM: Enemy Unknown DLC Adds New Armor and Color Schemes

October 24, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

You can further customize your squad in XCOM with this DLC.

Firaxis has released the Elite Soldier Pack for XCOM ahead of the game's first proper DLC, which is titled "Slingshot" (read more about that here).

The Elite Soldier Pack is priced at $4.99 for US customers on Steam and includes three new bonus items for you to outfit your team with and a new recruit inspired by the original X-COM: UFO Defense. The new armor kits include Hyperion and Reaper soldier armor kits.

The DLC was included in the pre-order of XCOM: Enemy Unknown prior to the game's release—so don't buy it if you pre-ordered the game. You won't be getting anything you don't already have.

Gamers outside of the United States may have to pay an inflated price, so we'd suggest heading over to Green Man Gaming or elsewhere to pick up the DLC, which is fully compatible with Steam.
