Gearbox has released an app for both Android and iOS systems that will serve as a digital companion to Borderlands 2. The official description for the app is as follows:
"Find and track all the game's plethora of collectibles, including Cult of the Vaults, ECHO Recorders, every rare chest and much more! Use this digital companion to get the most out of Borderlands 2. If you're the type of player who likes to find everything, then the Borderlands 2 Official Map App is for you!"
Since the app was released less than an hour ago, reviews are scarce but the few reviews seem to approve overall, saying it's a good tool for a perfectionists, that it does what it says it will, but other reviews say it needs a few fixes, and that it could be improved with added features. One review made mention that they were not sure it was worth the price.
The Borderlands 2 app is $3.01 on Google Play and 2.99 on the App Store. If you’ve already invested a lot of time and money into Borderlands 2, it certainly seems easier than going back and forth to Google to see where locations are. 2K Games and Gearbox is certainly doing a stellar job at generating and keeping interest with Borderlands 2.
