gamernode.com review
GamerNode’s new rating system defines a “5 out of 5” as an “excellent, ‘must-buy’ game. Their negative qualities are few and far between, making them overwhelmingly enjoyable, “classic” experiences. They aren’t necessarily “perfect,” but many gamers are sure to fall in love with them. Everyone should own/play these games.” If you are a fan of the UFC, MMA in general, or even sports in general, then there was never a truer statment about UFC Undisputed 2010. Hell, if you just like beating people up in video games, this game is for you. With over 100 fighters to choose from, you’ll certainly have your pick of a punching bag. No matter what your reason for playing would be, rest assured that you will not be disappointed.

Now before this review is deemed a shameless love-fest, there’s – quite frankly – little to criticize in a title that improves on an already strong representation of a difficult to pixelate sport. ‘UFC 2010 Undisputed’ delivered as promised at its preview event, a very strong title for a somewhat newcomer to MMA, likely a stellar one for a true fan. Not only is UFC Undisputed 2010 the best MMA video game made to date, it’s also the most fun fighting game I’ve ever played. Though there are a few minor issues with the career mode, and far too many fights finish with a knock out, the game is markedly improved over last year’s title. A new bar has been set yet again by the developers over at Yuke’s, and even though I’ve got a whole year to enjoy UFC Undisputed 2010, I can’t wait to see what they do to top this game next year.

gamezone.com review
There are also new modes such as Tournament mode (4, 8 or 16-man brackets), Title Mode (take an authentic fighter up a ladder of fights to earn the championship belt), and Title Defense Mode (run through the gauntlet of 12 fights to defend your title and earn points to use on unlockables). Heck, THQ even decided to give a face-lift to Classic Fights Mode and decided to rename it Ultimate Fights Mode, which may possibly be the mode with the most replay value. Recreating the best fights, submissions knockouts or rewriting history, the Ultimate Fights Mode was the most inviting game mode right off the bat as it provides actual footage of the fights that took place. Outside of that fact, collecting points and unlocking taunts, clothing, UFC Topps trading cards, fighter nicknames and the like is a marvelous feature to keep players coming back for more UFC greatness.
