Killer is Dead muss man erleben.

Killer is Dead has everything a Suda 51 and Grasshopper Manufacture game should have. It’s crazy, gory but just so predictable. Even meeting a murderous train won’t bat an eyelid. Killer is Dead is executed in such a way that doesn’t always keep players as involved as they could be and can even ostracise them all together.

If you have read through the review, then this game will sound very Suda 51-esque. Whether it’s by design choice or maybe his team really is incapable of producing fantastic gameplay to go with these eccentric and peculiar worlds is something I guess we will never know. Killer Is Dead is a fun title that hits the Japanese quirkiness that we occasionally expect from the land of the rising sun. It’s not mechanically deep or rewarding to be a classic, but Killer Is Dead remains a solid piece of entertainment that Grasshopper fans will enjoy, while the rest of the world looks in bemusement as to why someone would like this.

Simply put, although Killer Is Dead is a lot of fun, it never reaches the same heights as Lollipop Chainsaw managed with its bizarre humour and fizzy pace, nor No More Heroes and its become-the-top-ranked-assassin structure, nor Shadows Of The Damned and its comedy duo of Garcia Hotspur and Johnson.
