Sea of Thieves

Sea of Thieves is all about being a pirate with a crew. Scavenge for treasure, loot islands, take to the open sea, and battle against other crews that are unfortunate enough to come across your pathway.

User-generated content is a big feature for Sea of Thieves as well. Players will be able to craft their own custom stories using the various in-game tools. From there, these campaigns can be uploaded online for other players to download and enjoy on their own. With that said, you can be sure that there will be plenty of exploration tied into the game.


State of Decay 2

There are not too many details released for State of Decay 2 as of right now. We do know that this video game is a sequel to the 2013 State of Decay and will focus heavily on cooperative gameplay with up to three other players.

Overall, State of Decay 2 is a zombie-survival game that lets players have their own unique story. While battling zombies is very much a key aspect of the upcoming title release, players are encouraged to work together in setting up their own community that’s able to successfully take out the undead threat.


Cuphead

Cuphead is an upcoming run and gun style platformer by development team Studio MDHR. The story revolves around a character known as Cuphead who loses a bet against the devil and in order to repay that debt, he must take out a series of bosses.

Really, Cuphead is gaining all kinds of attention online simply due to its design. Studio MDHR has developed Cuphead in order to look similar to a 1930s cartoon. The visuals look incredible and the gameplay seems relatively smooth though we won’t know until it releases at some point in 2017.


Fortnite

Fornite is an upcoming survival game from developers People Can Fly and Epic Games. With this upcoming survival game, there is massive emphasis in co-op gameplay.

Players will have to work together as they survive waves of zombies. Essentially, players will have to work as a group when scavenging items and exploring. After gathering enough supplies, the group of players must work on building a fort that will be able to withstand an onslaught of undead attacks during the night.


Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands will be the tenth installment in the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon franchise. This time around, the game is set in Bolivia, where the rising power of drug cartels has become a concern to the United States Government.

To deal with this concern, the Government has sent in an elite special operations unit called “the Ghosts” to destroy the cartels. Unlike previous installments within the franchise, players will be set in an open world environment.


Crackdown 3

We’ve been waiting for some time now on potential news regarding Crackdown 3. The video game has been expected to launch previously during 2016, though it was later delayed so that the developers could fine tune the campaign experience.
Regardless, the video game is being developed by Reagent Games where the creators stated that the video game would focus on mass scale destruction. Officially revealed in 2015, we’re now expected to see the video game launch within the holiday season of this year.


Halo Wars 2

Halo Wars 2 takes place in the year 2559 and will see the return of the human crew aboard the UNSC warship Spirit of Fire. Once again this is a real-time strategy title, but this time around players will be up against a new faction known as the Banished.


Divinity: Original Sin 2

Divinity: Original Sin 2 takes place after the first installment. During a time of wars and religious persecution, Bishop Alexandar the Innocent declares all Sorcerers to be criminals. Now a group of four Sorcerers embark on a journey to defeat the Bishop.


Sniper Elite 4

Sniper Elite 4 takes place directly after the events of Sniper Elite III. Players take control of Karl Fairburne, an Office of Strategic Services agent, who is working with the Italian resistance force to fight against the Fascists in World War II.


Destiny 2

The sequel to Destiny takes place after the events of Destiny: Rise of Iron. This title starts off with the Red Legion faction of the Cabal having attacked The Last City. Guardians are forced to flee and find new powers to face the Red Legion and bring order over The Last City once again.


For Honor

Toukiden 2

Toukiden 2 will take place in a peaceful village of Mahoroba where the town is given the task in protecting the Shrine Maiden Kagura. However, it’s not long before Mahoroba’s rival clans threaten the safety of Kagura and the town. In order to maintain the peace, the Holy Mount releases its own force of Slayers.


The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead is an upcoming first-person co-op shooter based on The Walking Dead comic book series. Players will have to survive together in a world that has been dominated by mindless flesh-eating walkers.
While details surrounding the video game narrative have yet to be fully fleshed out to the public, the development team has announced that a VR version of the game will be launching for the game as well. Unfortunately, the VR-experience to the video game does not have a date attached to it quite yet though it will likely also launch in 2017 as well.
