Manifold Garden

Developer: William Chyr Studio
Publisher: William Chyr Studio
Platforms: PC, PS4
Release Date: TBA 2017

Manifold Garden looks stunning and at any point within the game, you could pause and look at the world as if it painted beautifully by Maurits Cornelis Escher. This is an upcoming video game developed by William Chyr, an indie developer along with being an artist himself.

Overall, players go through the title in a first-person perspective as they solve a puzzle that looks physically impossible to maneuver around. The entire world is gravity defying and will force players to think outside of the box. Though the gameplay is rather straightforward, completing this perplexed world is anything but.

In The Shadows

Developer: Colorspace Studio
Publisher: Colorspace Studio
Platforms: PC, PS4, XB1
Release Date: TBA 2017

In The Shadows is a survival, puzzle, platformer type video game. Within the video game, players take on the role of a man who uses therapy to remember his childhood memories, only for them to bring out some troubling fears. In order to unlock these suppressed memories, players will have to confront these fears head on.

Within the game world, monsters lurk within the dark, leaving players to maneuver around areas that are untapped by light. However, our protagonist is able to defeat these creatures of the dark by bringing out a light source. Once light hits the enemy monsters, players are able to successfully turn them into objects that may help them reach new heights. This will come in handy, as In The Shadows also features collectible items throughout the game in order to open new hidden levels and secrets.

Symphony of the Machine

Developer: Stirfire Studios
Publisher: Stirfire Studios
Platforms: PC, PS VR
Release Date: TBA 2017

You won’t find a deep narrative story when it comes to Symphony of the Machine. The indie development team, Stirfire Studios, created this upcoming VR-focused puzzle title to leave players in an ambiguous world.

Players will awake as the sole-survivor of their world. Left stranded in a scorched desert, players must head to the only visible tower that acts as a beacon for any potential life. It’s within this tower that our protagonist can control the weather and potentially restore life into this post-apocalyptic world.

Though the development team left the story narrative to be interpreted by the players, gamers could find a few clues that may hint as to what caused civilization’s downfall.

Dying: Reborn

Developer: Wuhan Nekcom Network Technology Co., LTD
Publisher: Oasis Games
Platforms: PS VR
Release Date: TBA 2017

We don’t know too much about Dying: Reborn and it seems that’s exactly what developers are hoping for with potential gamers. This is a PlayStation 4 VR horror puzzle video game, where players will have to escape a series of horrific rooms.

There’s a good chance you’ve played an escape the room type video game. Dying: Reborn is similar to these titles, but with a creepy atmosphere. Players will find themselves in a locked room and must look around in their immediate area for items and clues that may allow them to progress to the next locked room. Being that this is a VR horror puzzle title, players might find their hearts racing to reach the end unscathed.

Statik

Developer: Tarsier Studios
Publisher: Tarsier Studios
Platforms: PS VR
Release Date: TBA 2017

Another PlayStation VR title that peaks our interest is Statik, an upcoming puzzle title from the development team, Tarsier Studios. The video game has players helping Dr. Ingen as he attempts to solve the various complexities hidden away within the human mind.

Players will awake each day with a new puzzle contraption attached to their hands. You’ll have to use your attached hands with a keen eye to understand just how to solve these puzzles and unlock the mystery.

Against The Wall

Consoli, the developer behind this unique puzzle title, has been sharing his updates through social media assuring fans that this project has not been killed off.

Within Against The Wall, players will traverse up an infinite wall made of various size bricks. It’s your goal to reach new heights and discover the different buildings and landscapes attached above. Your only means to travel up the wall is by using a device that will allow these various size bricks to pull out of the wall, giving players the ability to create platforms and ledges.

This is a unique fun puzzler and there’s an early development demo build for download on the official Against The Wall website. We recommend giving the demo build a try while we wait for the official release.
