Top iPhone Games of 2012: Gaming on the Go

April 16, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Best iPhone Games of 2012: The iPhone is full of great games, so we’ve decided to compile only the best ones (released in 2012) to save you a lot of time and effort in finding them.

#4 DoDonPachi Blissful Death

DoDonPachi is an entry in a long line of bullet hell shooters by Cave. The game may seem like an assault on the senses at first glance but once you get used to the pixels flying across the screen, you might even be able to dodge them with some finesse.

DoDonPachi brings a genre typically relegated to the PC over to the iPhone and it even comes with an online scoreboard allowing players to post their rankings and achievements online. Earning a high score takes more than dodging bullets—you'll have to create chains of kills as you play.

The game is a good entry point into bullet hell shooters, and there's tons more to be had on the PC if you're ever so inclined to play them.
