Monster Hunter Wilds: How to Edit Your Seikret’s Appearance

March 23, 2025 by Matt Villei

A change for your feathered friend.

The Seikret are the bird-like mounts that will help players traverse the world of Monster Hunter Wilds. While players get their Seikret at the start of the game, the ability to change the appearance of this trusted companion isn’t available right away. Players who want to make their Seikret unique will need to take down a few monsters and meet a specific character to unlock the ability to make changes to the creature’s look. Luckily, I can show anyone struggling with this how to gain access to this system. This guide will show players how to edit their Seikret’s appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds.

How to Edit Your Seikret’s Appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds

After you reach the first Base Camp in the game, you can enter any tent in the game to customize your Seikret’s Decorations. While you can change some of the trinkets on your mount at the start of the game, you will need to progress through a bit of the game’s main story to unlock the ability to change its appearance.

Progress through the game until you reach Chapter 2-2: Eye of the Storm. This is the mission where you fight Rey Dau. After you complete this mission, you will return to Kunafa village. Look for a young girl named Nona in the village. She has a Seikret symbol above her head. After you talk to her, you can now edit your Seikret by talking to Nona and selecting “I’d like to customize my Seikret.” You can also go to a base camp tent or any of the Pop-Up Tents in the open world. Once in a tent, go to the tab on the right end of the bar shown on the left side of the screen. From here, you can select “Seikret Customization.”

Once in this menu, you can change just about anything about your Seikret from its feather and eye colors to feather patterns, and you can even change its name. Unlike your Hunter and Palico, you don’t need any Vouchers to make these changes and can make edits as many times as you want.

You can now edit your Seikret’s appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. Stay tuned to Gameranx for more news, updates, and guides for Monster Hunter Wilds as well as other great games in the future.
