Monster Hunter Wilds: How to Edit Your Appearance

March 23, 2025 by Matt Villei

Time for a makeover.

The Hunter in Monster Hunter Wilds is your player character and is the person that you will use to explore this expansive and beautiful world. Upon starting a new save, you will get the chance to customize the appearance of your Hunter to either look like yourself or as some sort of original character. After you finish your modifications, this appearance isn’t set in stone. Yes, the new armor you will unlock while slaying the monsters will give you some new looks there are a few ways to go back to the character creator and change the look of your Hunter. Allow me to show you how to make those changes to your character. This guide will show players how to edit their Hunter’s appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds.

How to Edit Your Appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds

Your Hunter can be edited by going into any tent found throughout the world of Monster Hunter Wilds. There is a tent at each of the Base Camps you will discover as you make your way to the different regions of the game’s map. Once inside the tent, toggle over to the Appearance Menu. This is the tab all the way on the right end of the bar shown on the left side of the screen. From here, you can select “Change Appearance.”

You also have the choice to edit your character from the main menu. Select the “Start Game” option and when you reach the save files, look at the bottom of the screen and press the button next to “Edit Character.” Doing either of these options will return you to the character creator and allow you to make any changes you want to the looks of your Hunter.

You will be able to customize any part of your Hunter’s body from their hair to their voice, and many other options that you can explore during your character’s initial creation. Unfortunately, you can’t just go into this menu and make any change you want. You will first need to get your hands on a Character Edit Voucher, an item that will allow you to make changes to your Hunter. You can get one Voucher for free but will need to purchase more Vouchers through microtransactions if you want more of them. More free Vouchers will be added during the game’s lifespan so keep an eye out for them in the future!

You can now edit your Hunter’s appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. Stay tuned to Gameranx for more news, updates, and guides for Monster Hunter Wilds as well as other great games in the future.
