Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster: Best Early Healing Items

The only way you’ll survive the outbreak in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is if you’ve got a steady supply of healing items — and lucky for you, there’s a perfect place to stock up very early in the game. This location is so good, you’ll want to revisit it for the rest of your 72-Hour Mode playthrough.

And we’re talking about more than just healing items. You’ll also be able to mix up useful drinks that give our man Frank West powerful boosts. There are two specific ones you’ll want to keep in mind from the start. Here’s how to get early infinite healing items and mix useful drinks.

Best Healing Item Early

Early in the game, you’ll be able to access Paradise Plaza. From here, you can gain infinite useful healing items and craft mixes that are incredibly helpful for later parts of the game.

  • Best Healing Item Location:
  • Go to Paradise Plaza 2F to find the Colombian Roastmasters coffee shop. To the right of the checkout counter there’s a case of Orange Juice. This is an infinite resource of Orange Juice.
  • Each Orange Juice heals 4 blocks of health.

In addition to an infinite supply of healing items, you can also use this starting area to craft very useful mixes.

How To Mix

In the Colombian Roastmasters, use the blender in the back-right corner behind the front desk. To use it, interact while holding an item in your hand.

By using two items on the blender, a mixed drink will pop out. Depending on what you mix, you’ll get different mixed drinks that provide Frank West special boosts.

Best Early Mixed Drinks

Two of the best mixed drinks can be created right at the start in the Colombian Roastmasters. The Untouchable drink makes moving through crowds of zombies easier, while Nectar causes a Queen Bee to spawn. Incredibly useful to wiping out groups of zombies or rushing around the mall to solve cases.

  • Nectar: Orange Juice + Orange Juice
  • Both Orange Juices can be found from the infinite juice cabinet in the Colombian Roastmasters in Paradise Plaza 2F.

Creates Nectar. Drinking this attracts a Queen Bee zombie — using the queen bee in your inventory will destroy all zombies in the vicinity. Very, very useful for rescues or wiping out large groups.

  • Untouchable: Pie + Orange Juice
  • Both items can also be found in Colombian Roastmasters. The Pie is found on the front desk — there are three on the food counter.

Creates Untouchable. Drink to make Zombies unable to grab Frank West — while you’re still vulnerable to damage, zombies won’t be able to grapple you.

There are more useful recipes for mixing, but these two are the most common and the most useful for most of the game. Other rare mixes can make you invincible for a short duration, but the time limit is so short their effectiveness is pretty limited — Untouchable is both easy to make and actually useful for plenty of situations as you progress.
