Fortnite: Grapple Glove Locations | How to use

June 14, 2022 by Lauren Sayles

Swing around the island.

Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 3 started a huge party on the island. There is a new biome, a new set of vaulted and unvaulted weapons and much more. The changes to the loot pool do not stop there as Epic Games has introduced a new weapon to the mix. The Grapple Glove has arrived in Fortnite and this guide will show you where to get your hands on one and how to use it.

The weapon that the Grapple Glove can be compared to the most are the Spider-Man Web Shooters which featured in previous seasons. You can use them to grapple on to surfaces and swing through the air. Each consecutive Grapple Glove swing will get faster until the third swing and beyond which is when you will hit max speed. Sliding out of a swing will allow you to slide across the ground extremely quickly. If you miss a shot and land on the ground, you will have a short amount of time to redeem yourself and shoot the grappling hook again. If not, there will be a short cooldown before you can take your next shot. In addition, you can repeatedly shoot the grappling hook to pull items towards you.

Fortnite Grapple Glove locations

The Grapple Gloves can only be found in certain places around the Fortnite island. They can be found in pink tool boxes at one of the ten Grapple Stops on the map.

The Grapple Stops are listed below, as well as marked on a handy map above:

  • Northeast of Condo Canyon/ south of The Joneses
  • North of Synapse Station
  • North of Rocky Reels
  • Southwest of Greasy Grove
  • In the water between two of the eastern islands
  • East of Tilted Towers
  • Inside Rave Cave
  • East of Shifty Shafts
  • East of the Daily Bugle
  • Northwest of Logjam Lumberyard

It is important to note that although each Grapple Stop has more than one pink tool box, you can only carry one Grapple Glove at a time. Also, you may want to loot up before you visit a Grapple Stop as they will be populated with enemies trying to grab the new weapon. Of course, you can pick up the Grapple Glove from fallen enemies who were carrying one. Now you know the Grapple Glove locations in Fortnite, you can almost guarantee yourself one every match.
