Fallout 4 Guide: How To Get A Hazmat Suit With +1000 Radiation Protection

November 11, 2015 by Holly Green

You’re gonna want this one item before heading into the Glowing Sea!

One of the most fascinating treasure troves of mystery and intrigue in all of Fallout 4 lies to the southwest of the map, in a place known as the Glowing Sea. It’s one of the best places to explore the mysteries of the Commonwealth but unfortunately, it’s so deeply steeped in thick radiation, most folks don’t last there very long without dozens of doses of Rad-X and RadAway.

Fortunately, you have one more form of protection against the nasty elements of the radiation-torn desert, in the form of a very powerful Hazmat suit you can find near Dunwich Borers in the northeast portion of the map. Fast travel to the area and you will be transported just outside a large arrangement of rocks with a few pieces of machinery outside.

Venture inside, dismantle the traps in the hallway and destroy the machine gun turret and at the end of the passage you will find a small nook with a Hazmat suit, which affords +1000 protection from radiation. Be sure to also pick up the holotape on the table nearby to hear the thoughts of the man who once owned it.

Then, venture down into the quarry to pick up a Bobblehead and a special weapon.
