5 Excuses Used for a Bad Video Game Port DEBUNKED

July 31, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

We take a look at the five most commonly used excuses and debunk the hell out of them.

Video game ports aren't always done right, especially ones designed for console platforms like the PS4 and Xbox One and then ported to the PC.

The developers doing the porting are often third parties and not the same studio that made the original game, and publishers tend to cut corners with ports because they don't expect the game to sell as well on the PC as they do on the console, for whatever reason.

After these games are released, those who buy the game complain about the lackluster quality, and the publishers come up with an assortment of excuses for the reason these ports are bad.

In this video, we take a look at the five most commonly used excuses and debunk the hell out of them.
