10 Best FREE iOS | Android Games Of May 2015

June 9, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Here are the ten best games for the iOS and Android of May 2015

Every month (starting now) we'll be compiling a list of the ten or so best games for the Android and iOS devices for the month. They may not be explicitly designed as gaming devices, but the games that get on them are no less fun to play as their PC and console counterparts, especially when you're on the go. Taking the train to work? There's no better way to pass the time than to spend it playing a game on your phone or tablet.

Without further ado, here are the ten best free games of the iOS and Android of May 2015.

10. Oddwings Escape
Platforms: iOS

This colorful little game lets you play as a stupid little bird who dodges things. Unlike Angry Birds, there's plenty of stuff to collect along the way and traveling a long distance takes you to new areas.

9. Test Chamber
Platforms: iOS, Android

Test Chamber is a quirky little puzzle game that looks a bit like a crossword puzzle from an isometric viewpoint.

8. Totome
Platforms: iOS, Android

You play a totem pole that has to dodge arrows as you run towards the side of your screen. It's a simple little game with a fun mechanic.

7. Earthcore : Shattered Elements
Platforms: iOS

This card battler is like a simplified version of Hearthstone that has a surprsing amount of players. Check it out if you want to get your feet wet but aren't willing to delve into an in-depth title like Hearthstone just yet.

6. One More Dash
Platforms: iOS, Android

You're a circle on the bottom of your screen and you want to get to the top. That's how simple this game is, but it's addictive as hell.

5. Skiing Yeti Mountain
Platforms: iOS, Android

This pixel-art style game sees you skiing down a mountain. It's simple, yet fun and you get to buy a host of different accessories, abilities, and perks to deck out your skiier with.

4. Anodia 2
Platforms: iOS, Android

Anodia 2 is a modern take on the classic Breakout! style of game. What's cool about this one is how uniquely randomized each level is.

3. Ire: Blood Memory
Platforms: iOS, Android

This game is definitely one of the more hardcore games on our list. It's designed for fans of Dark Souls and Bloodborne and even has the looks to match.

2. Lara Croft: Relic Run
Platforms: iOS, Android

One of the biggest surprises of the month, this one's a unique take on the endless runner genre featuring everyone's favorite heroine, Lara Croft.

1. Ball King
Platforms: iOS, Android

Ball King is easily the most addictive game on this list. Similar to Desert Golfing, Ball King is about shooting hoops.
