10 Game-Breaking Weapons, Spells & Abilities That Made Games Easy Early | OP Gear List

Make your favorite games easy right from the start with these unbeatable choices.

#11: Red9 (Resident Evil 4)

The Red9 is available to purchase in RE4 fairly early on — it’s a heavy pistol that doesn’t seem that useful. On my first playthroughs, I always skipped the Red9. Now I know why that’s a huge mistake.

The Red9 is a specialty pistol that packs a huge punch, but it’s very difficult to aim with until you collect the wooden stock attachment. It’s the most powerful handgun in the game, and with the stock, it becomes the most stable. It takes up lots of room in your inventory box, but you should always focus on upgrading the box ASAP whenever possible anyway.

The Red9 almost makes the rest of the game too easy. Scoring dome-exploding headshots is simple, and it can even heavily damage bosses with rapid shots to weak points. Don’t sleep on this pistol!

#12: Boone (Fallout: New Vegas)

The strongest weapon in the west isn’t a gun — it’s a guy. Boone the Sniper is an unstoppable companion in Fallout: New Vegas, and he’ll make your adventure much easier with his presence. You’ll find him in the town of Novac, one of the first stops on your trip to New Vegas proper. Completing his question will unlock him as a companion, and he’s completely invaluable.

Boone is a sharpshooter, so he’ll safely pick off enemies at long-range. He’s tough, and he can handle himself in melee range. Nothing about Boone sounds that useful, but he’s an OP killing machine. Left to his own devices, he can clear out entire encampments of Caesar’s Legion soldiers. There’s really no one else that can compare, and you can unlock him within an hour of leaving the starting town.

That’s just 12 OP weapons, spells, and abilities — there are way more out there! Let us know your favorite completely ridiculous weapons and gear in gaming.
