We’re already checking off the calendar for these exciting releases and if you’re looking to get a heads up on some great FPS then let us lend a hand. We’re marking down some of the best and most anticipated FPS titles coming down the pipeline. Likewise, we’re going to keep this article updated on the very latest so make sure to give this page a bookmark and check back for new titles added into the mix below.

Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass
  • Developer: Croteam
  • Publisher: Devolver Digital
  • Platforms: PC
  • Release: TBA

Serious Sam is about to get a fourth main installment to the franchise. The game was announced back in 2014 but the developers are still working on the title to see the game release fully into the market. Just like the past installments, this will be an arcade-action FPS kind of game though not too many details have emerged out from developers Croteam at the moment. With that said, they are attempting to make a quite ambitious game and have been working on getting a hundred thousand enemies on screen for players to fight against. While this feat may not come to fruition, it looks like there is no limit to what the developers will attempt to bring out into Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass.

Cyberpunk 2077
  • Developer: CD Projekt Red
  • Publisher: CD Projekt Red
  • Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
  • Release: April 16, 2020

Easily one of the most anticipated video game titles going into 2020 is Cyberpunk 2077. From the development team who brought out The Witcher series, comes a brand new IP set in the distant future. Mankind is reliant on various augmentations and in a corrupt world, our protagonist makes a living by being a mercenary. Living in this world, you’ll have to take on odd jobs and earn your street cred in order to land bigger and better-paying jobs. However, the way you handle yourself and the decisions you make in Cyberpunk 2077 will result in a variety of different endings.

This upcoming RPG is also a first-person shooter and if you haven’t checked out the nearly hour-long gameplay footage of Cyberpunk 2077 then you are really missing out. We’re easily making this a day one purchase and we’re sure that plenty of others around the world are going to do the very same.

Dying Light 2
  • Developer: Techland
  • Publisher: Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment
  • Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
  • Release: 2020

Techland is back to deliver fans of the Dying Light franchise a new installment in 2020. The video game will once again see players facing against the undead threat but this time in a new city location. Most of these locations around the world are run by conflicting factions making it an on-going battle as to who is in control of the area.

Just as before, this is an FPS with melee combat elements tossed in as well. You’ll find that your character can maneuver around buildings and objects easily with parkour-style skills. However, one of the biggest changes to the game from the first installment is that developers are giving players a variety of choices. These choices will result in players being able to alter the narrative campaign so you’ll want to carefully decide your actions as they may have heavy repercussions.

Halo: Infinite
  • Developer: 343 Industries
  • Publisher: Microsoft
  • Platforms: PC, XBO
  • Release: TBD

We really can’t go into too much detail about Halo: Infinite as there hasn’t been really any information released so far about the game. This will be the next major installment to the Halo franchise which will continue the story for Master Chief. A small teaser was released during E3 2018 and since then the development team over at 343 Industries have yet to give any information regarding just what gamers can expect. That was until E3 2019 where we got a new glimpse of the upcoming title showing Master Chief once again floating in space before he is awakened to help save humanity. We’re also supposedly going to receive plenty of news and gameplay footage for the title during E3 2020 so we’ll have to keep an eye out for any small bits of news that the development team or Microsoft opts to give out until then.

Payday 3
  • Developer: Overkill Software
  • Publisher: Overkill Software
  • Platforms: TBD
  • Release: TBD

Note: Payday 2 trailer.

Payday is going to hopefully receive its third main installment in 2020. The video game franchise was developed under Overkill Software and it seems that they have been working on Payday 3 since 2017 but as previously reported, the game was being developed with no intentions of rushing it out into the market. There is certainly a gap between this upcoming installment and Payday 2 which launched back in 2013. If you’re unfamiliar with the series, the game is a first-person shooter that is played with cooperative multiplayer in mind.

Overall, the game revolves around successfully completing heists with a crew. The game would put players into situations in which a crew of four would have to figure out how to rob banks to armored cars. We don’t know just what all Payday 3 will hold but outside of improved visuals, we’re sure that there will be more diverse heists and tactics used.
