#15 Fallout 76
Fallout 76 is the latest installment to the Fallout franchise though it’s quite a bit different in comparison to past main video game releases. Bethesda has developed Fallout 76 to be an online multiplayer title that takes place before previous Fallout games.
Within the game, players take on a member from Vault 76 where their goal is to help rebuild the wasteland when the vault opens twenty-five years after the nuclear war. While this is still an action RPG, the gameplay is centered on building up and maintaining settlements.
For instance, when players have managed to build up a base, they will have to defend it from the mutated monsters both old and new along with other hostile players. Now this game does come with some pretty unfavorable reviews but this is still an early online video game release and being Bethesda we imagine that this game would be tweaked quite a bit. We’re not ready to write this game off yet and we imagine that as the years go by, there will be new exciting content which will make it worth purchasing a copy of the game.
#14 Rayman Legends
Rayman is back with Rayman Legends. This time around Rayman and his friends discover mysterious paintings that have transported them to a new mythical world. In order to get home, Rayman and his company of fellow compadres must jump, run, and slap their way through each world.
What makes this a particularly fun game for local multiplayer is that Rayman Legends features a four-player co-op. At any point in the game, three other friends can jump into the campaign seamlessly or there’s even a series of different challenge-based modes. To top it off there are plenty of featured Rayman Origins levels with improved visuals.
#13 Destiny 2
Destiny 2 is a multiplayer experience, this is the type of video game you would meet with a few friends to grind through for loot or complete the campaigns. If you enjoy futuristic FPS and have yet to at least try Destiny or its sequel, then you might be missing out.
A quick turnoff for some gamers may be the repetitiveness you could find yourself in while going through Destiny 2 as there could be some grinding involved. Likewise, because there’s a bigger influence in going through the campaigns or side missions with a team, the casual gamer who is seeking a narrative journey to enjoy on their own time may wish to pass this franchise up.
However, for those who love gathering loot, upgrading their characters and a good raid with a team of players then this is one title not to pass up.
#12 Lost in a Dangerous Spacetime
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a much-beloved indie title by developers Asteroid Base. The video game is relatively easy to understand once you pick up the controller, but it becomes tough to master making it hard to set the game down after starting.
Within the game, players are in control of a ship and must fight off enemy ships. If you have a few friends, this is a perfect game to play as Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime offers up to four-player multiplayer.
In the game, players will find that in order to control a ship they must travel to various departments of their ship making it a constant battle to defeat your friends and keeping your ship safe.
#11 Grand Theft Auto Online
Grand Theft Auto V is a massive hit and it’s one game that despite being a number of years old now, the community is very much active. When the title first launched on last generation consoles, the game was the standard third-person open world experience filled with crime and chaos.
However, when it launched shortly after for the current generation of consoles, the development team over at Rockstar Games had tossed in a new element, the ability to go into a first-person perspective. This added a whole new element to the video game, but it’s not for everyone as the controls can feel a bit off in the first-person mode.
Within the game, players will be following three conmen who are after their own desires and each is playable freely making the game feel quite a bit bigger than previous title installments to the franchise. Furthermore, the online game community for Grand Theft Auto Online is extremely active and you won’t have any trouble finding players to enjoy the game with today. Whether that is gathering a crew to go out and complete online campaign missions, race against, or the random events that will occur.
