Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice – How To Unlock The Extended Ending

August 10, 2017 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Get an extended ending scene in Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice for earning 100% completion on a single playthrough. Check out the ending right here.

There’s more to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice than the standard ending. Yup, there’s an extended extra scene you can unlock for being especially vigilant throughout your journey to Helheim. We’ll get into all the details below and explain how to unlock the extra ending — and you’ll find a quick clip if you want to see it for yourself right now.

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice isn’t just a hack-and-slash adventure. It’s a meditation on mental illness. Senua, the heroine of the story, travels to the Norse underworld in search of a soul she wishes to save. As you delve deeper into the frightening mythological world, you’ll encounter massive bosses and punishing enemies, with only your sword and a special Focus ability to help you survive.

How To Unlock The Extended Ending

There is an extra ending scene in Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice that will only appear if you’ve earned 100% completion — you must collect all 44 lorestones before the final battle.

There are 11 sequences in Hellblade, and you’ll be able to track your lorestone progress as you complete the game using the lorestones themselves. When approaching a lorestone, you’ll see a circle of red runes — each set of runes is separated by a dot. The dot represents the chapter divisions. Collecting a lorestone turns the runes from red to white. When a section (between dots) features all white runes and no red runes, then you’ll know you’ve found all the runes in a sequence.

To find all the lorestones in Hellblade, check out our full guide here. We’ll explain how to get all 44 lorestones in order.
