Guillermo Del Toro Looking for a Development Partner for inSane

October 12, 2012 by Alex Co

Remember Guillermo Del Toro’s inSane for THQ? It’s not dead just yet! Read on for more…

One of the biggest gaming announcements last year was THQ's involvement with award-winning director Guillermo Del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy) on a new horror trilogy that was supposed to be called inSane.

To cut a long story short, THQ was bleeding money and Del Toro's project was one of the games that they severed ties with. When that happened earlier in the year, people assumed that was the end of it and that inSane was essentially "dead."

This doesn't seem to be the case — at least not yet. Del Toro, who's at the New York Comic-Con to promote his new movie Pacific Rim, confirmed that he's now searching for a new development partner for the game.

While this is good news for horror fans, it bears mentioning that inSane still doesn't have a publisher and is not confirmed for any platform for any release window. So if you're looking forward to it, it might be a long wait.

What would you want inSane to be? Do you trust Del Toro to make an outstanding horror game?

Thanks, Kotaku
